Nigeria men’s basketball team D’Tigers ended their campaign at the Olympic warm-up tournament, Stankovic Cup after losing by 73 to 82 points to France on Friday.
The African champions trailed 18-0 early in the game, but rallied to finish the first quarter with a seven-point deficit as France led 45-38.
D’Tigers cut their opponents’ lead to four points at a stage in the last quarter, but that was not enough as the Europeans held on to their win.
The Nigerian team beat hosts China 79-71 in their first game but went down with a 71- 49 defeat to Argentina in their second fixture.
D’Tigers were without the famous Aminu brothers and some other key players.
