Relationship with NASS mutual – Presidency

The presidency says it maintains a mutual relationship with the National Assembly and thanks the federal lawmakers for approving all ministerial nominees, passing the 2016 budget and acting effectively on all executive communication sent to the parliament.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly, Senator Ita Enang disclosed this at a briefing ahead of the June 9 date when parliamentarians will be a year in office.

Senator Enang praised President Muhammadu Buhari for assenting to the 2015 supplementary budget, the FCT High Court bill to increase number of judges from 37 to 75 and the 2016 budget.

Senator Enang also explained steps being taken by political officeholders from the Niger Delta to douse tension in the region.
