The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Monday inaugurated members of its new executive.
Members of the party had during its state and local government congresses held last Friday elected a former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Moshood Salvador, as the state chairman of the party.
Those inaugurated were Muiz Shodipe (secretary), Chief Ola Apena (deputy chairman), Mr. Taofik Gani (publicity secretary), Taiwo Kuye (organising secretary), among others.
The new leaders would pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years.
Administering the oath of office on the officials, a legal practitioner, Shina Martins, said the move was in line with schedules 1 and 2 of the PDP’s constitution.
According to a statement issued by the state publicity secretary of the party, Gani Taofik, Martins said the new leaders were the legally recognised elected leaders of the party.
