Amosun denies paying ransom to free Anisulowo

Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun said on Wednesday that no ransom was paid before rescuing the abducted Ilaro born former minister of Agriculture and one time Senator Iyabo Anisulowo.

Amosun said although a ransom of 150 million naira had been demanded by the kidnappers, nothing was paid before the victim was rescued.

The Ogun State Police Command rescued  the former Minister of Agriculture from the den of kidnappers after spending six days in captivity.

Anisulowo was rescued on Tuesday from the kidnappers’ hideout located within Ogun state.

She said she had been living on water and expressed appreciation to Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun and the security agents for their efforts in ensuring that she was rescued unhurt.
