Giwa FC risk NPFL expulsion after Wikki walkover

Giwa FC are now just a game away from being expelled from the Nigerian elite football league after failing to turn up in Ilorin on Sunday for their match against Wikki Tourists.

Wikki thus conducted a walkover when it was clear Giwa will not honour the game.

According to the rules of the NPFL, “If a club fails to honour two consecutive matches without  acceptable reasons to the LMC such a club shall be expelled from the League and its matches played and unplayed shall be cancelled.”
