SON operatives raid markets in Lagos, impound fake goods

Enforcement officers of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria have raided markets in Ogba and Ifako-Agege, impounding goods believed to be fake and substandard.

The items identified at the markets include, cooking gas cylinders, auto batteries, engine oil, tyres and cables among others.

The enforcement team discovered that none of the products has the SON seal of quality.

The campaign is part of the agency’s ongoing battle against the proliferation of fake and substandard  products in the country.
