A popular church which is known as Household of David Church at Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja Lagos was on Wednesday morning gutted by fire. This was confirmed in a video shared by an X user, Olúwadámilọlá, showing the moment the worship center was destroyed by fire. SaharaReporters has yet to ascertain the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage it caused.
The National Emergency Management Agency Southwest PRO, Ibrahim Farinloye has not responded to a message sent to him for his reaction to the incident as of the time of this report.
This incident came a week after the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed that about 6,700 traders, 450 shops, 30 offices, two hotels, and five restaurants were affected by a fire incident that occurred at the Mandalas building on the Lagos Island, Lagos State.
