Michael Olise, the 21-year-old French right winger, has officially joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace on a five-year deal until 2029. Bayern Munich, now managed by Vincent Kompany, secured the deal after Chelsea reportedly deemed it too expensive. Olise expressed his excitement about the move, stating, “The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club. It’s a great challenge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years.”

Olise moved to Crystal Palace from Reading in 2021 and was a standout performer last season, scoring 10 goals and adding six assists in 19 appearances despite recurring injuries. He has been named in Thierry Henry’s France squad for the Olympic Games in Paris and could potentially join Bayern Munich just two weeks before the Bundesliga season starts on August 23 if France reaches the final of the tournament.
