Rodri sealed City’s 3-1 victory against West Ham with a crucial goal, securing their fourth consecutive league title under the management of Pep Guardiola. This victory propelled City to the top spot, leaving them two points clear of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

According to reports from Sky Sports, Rodri attributes Manchester City’s success against Arsenal to a superior “mentality”, criticizing Arsenal for their apparent lack of ambition to defeat the reigning champions during their clash in March.

Rodri implied that Arsenal’s willingness to settle for a draw at the Etihad Stadium clash against City on March 31 ultimately cost them the title.

In his post-match interview, Rodri remarked, “To be honest, I believe it’s all about mentality. Arsenal, they deserve recognition too, as they had an exceptional season. However, the distinction lies in our mindset. When they faced us at the Etihad, I sensed they weren’t driven to win, merely content with a draw. That mentality wouldn’t suffice for us. Consequently, we seized the opportunity. Ultimately, even if you offer us a single point, we’ll push through the last seven, eight games, no matter how challenging. It all boils down to mentality.
