T-Pain Promotes Mental Health with New Track “On This Hill” and Free Therapy for Fan

T-Pain is leveraging his latest mental health-themed track, “On This Hill,” to support his fans’ well-being. To mark its release, the rapper has partnered with Talkspace, an online and mobile therapy company, to offer free therapy sessions to selected fans for the next year. The song, which debuted on May 17 in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, aims to raise awareness and encourage self-empowerment.

“This song is really about refusing to be gaslit anymore,” T-Pain explained. “It’s about coming to a realization that I have to stand up for myself. Over the years, that has just been something I’ve had to open my eyes to and learn how to deal with it. So yeah, I’ll die on this hill, ha!”

In addition to his musical endeavors, T-Pain has revealed plans to establish an educational institution in Wisconsin. This initiative follows his promise to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2023 and is inspired by his 2008 hit “Can’t Believe It,” where he famously rhymed “mansion” with “Wiscansin.”

“I just really felt like I was Andre 3000 when I was recording that song,” T-Pain told Billboard about “Can’t Believe It.” “That was my spirit animal that I had on me while I was recording that song.”

He continued, “That era fostered the infamous ‘mansion in Wiscansin’ rhyme. Since then, we’ve incorporated that into everything. All my tours are Wisconsin-based. We have a ‘Wiscansin University.’ All the merch is ‘Wiscansin’ themed. We’re actually starting a music school in Wisconsin.”

T-Pain’s connection with Wisconsin is reciprocated by the state’s love for him. In 2022, during his Road To Wiscansin Tour, he was officially recognized by the Badger State. Instead of a solo concert, T-Pain hosted Wiscansin Fest, featuring artists like Lil Jon, Juvenile, Yung Bleu, K Camp, and O.T. Genasis.
