Childish Gambino Surprises Fans with New Album ‘Atavista’ and Announces Major Tour

Childish Gambino, also known as Donald Glover, delighted fans with the unexpected release of his new album, ‘Atavista,’ on Monday. This release marks a highly active year in music for the artist.

‘Atavista’ is a refined version of Gambino’s 2020 album ‘3.15.20,’ which has since been removed from streaming platforms. The new edition features official song titles, reworked tracks, and a slightly trimmed tracklist. Collaborations include Young Nudy, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Ariana Grande, Ink, and Kadhja Bonet.

Gambino announced ‘Atavista’ on social media, hinting at an upcoming vinyl edition complete with visuals for each track. He shared, “ATAVISTA is streaming now. This album is the finished version of ‘3.15.20.’ There’s a special vinyl coming soon with visuals for each song.” He also revealed plans for his next album, ‘Bando Stone & The New World,’ set to release this summer. This album, his last under the Childish Gambino name, will serve as the soundtrack to a film he is developing.
