The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has described Saturday’s local government polls in the state as a sham.
Addressing reporters, the Chairman of the state independent electoral commission, professor Gbenga Ige described the election as peaceful.
The All progressives Congress in Ondo state, says the outcome of the Local Government Election, has clearly vindicated the party, that the election is a mere selection process.
According to a statement by APC’s publicity Director, Steve Otaloro, the PDP is the only party that fielded candidates in the election and contested against itself.
The party also accused the PDP of using deceptive manners to field members of some mushroom parties, that do not exist in the state.
The statement noted that even when it was evident the election was a no contest one, they still rigged in huge figures, to create the impression of impressive turnout.
