Veteran Nollywood actor and musician Zulu Adigwe has passed away. He was known for his paternal roles in films and television series, notably his role as Mr. B in the sitcom Basi and Company and his appearance in the 2019 hit film Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.
Adigwe passed away on Tuesday evening, and his death was confirmed by movie producer Stanley Nwoko on Instagram. Nwoko shared the news without revealing the cause of death, expressing sorrow for the loss of the beloved actor.
Adigwe’s passing marks the seventh death of a Nigerian actor in 2024, following the deaths of other industry icons like Sisi Quadri, Mr. Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Andy Best, Jumoke Aderounmu, and Junior Pope.
Born in Enugu State, Adigwe spent his early years there before moving to Austria for his primary and secondary education. The Nigerian film industry mourns his loss, as he was an esteemed and cherished figure who brought life to fatherly characters on screen. Rest in peace, Zulu Adigwe.
