Saweetie has shared a private message from her ex-boyfriend Quavo after he mentioned her in his recent Chris Brown diss track “Over Hoes & Bitches.” On the song, which responds to Brown’s own diss track “Weakest Link,” Quavo rapped, “I can take a model bitch and make a Saweetie, n-gga,” a line she seemingly did not appreciate.
Shortly after the song’s release, Saweetie posted a screenshot from January 2024 on X (formerly Twitter), showing Quavo’s direct message to her on Instagram. While the full message isn’t visible, the preview reads, “Damn. We used to mean af to each…” Saweetie captioned the post sarcastically, saying, “Hopefully the model he turns into me replies.”
Saweetie and Quavo started dating in 2018 and ended their relationship in 2021 amid cheating allegations against Quavo. Chris Brown used their past relationship against Quavo on “Weakest Link,” claiming he had slept with Saweetie while she was with his rival.
Saweetie hinted at writing a response after “Weakest Link” was released. She tweeted, “Let me go rewrite these nani verses,” referencing a new single she had previously teased on the platform.
Quavo had previously mocked Chris Brown for his rumored relationship with Karrueche Tran, Brown’s ex who obtained a restraining order against him following their split in 2017. In his track “Tender,” Quavo addressed the situation and challenged Chris Brown over their history.
