CKay Surpasses Wizkid and Rema with Record-breaking Achievement in the US

Nigerian artist CKay has made history with his viral hit track ‘Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah),’ breaking a tie with Wizkid and Rema in the United States. Recently announced, CKay’s song has attained the highest-certified African song status in RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) history, securing an impressive 8x Platinum certification. This milestone firmly establishes ‘Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)’ as one of the most successful African songs of recent times.

This certification places ‘Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)’ ahead of other notable tracks like WizKid’s ‘Essence’ and Rema’s ‘Calm Down,’ which previously held the record. Since its release in 2020, CKay’s song has not only garnered millions of streams across various music platforms but has also continued to break records even years after its initial debut.
