Renowned Nollywood veteran Kanayo O. Kanayo has announced his role in “Out of Breath,” marking his first major Igbo-speaking film since 1992. Famous for his iconic portrayal of Chief Omego in the Igbo classic “Living in Bondage,” Kanayo joins Chidi Mokeme and Jidekene Achufusi in this upcoming movie.
Sharing his excitement, Kanayo unveiled the film’s trailer on his Instagram account, emphasizing the importance of native dialects. Directed by Obi Emelonye, “Out of Breath” draws inspiration from true events and promises to be an Igbo epic.
Emelonye, who released the trailer on his 57th birthday, expressed his pride in bringing this project to life, urging viewers to share the trailer widely.
