Starting today, visitors to chat.openai.com won’t be prompted to log in. Instead, they’ll immediately engage with ChatGPT using the same model as registered users. While logging in is still an option, certain features like saving chats or using custom instructions won’t be available.

Users can opt out of having their chats used for training by clicking the question mark icon, going to “settings,” and disabling the feature. OpenAI has provided a gif to demonstrate this process.
Additionally, this account-free version of ChatGPT will have “slightly more restrictive content policies.” While the specifics aren’t clear, OpenAI has mentioned safety measures to prevent harmful content generation and additional safeguards for other inappropriate content.
