In the heartfelt post, 2Baba disclosed that despite the realization of their shared dream for the success and recognition of African and Nigerian music, he remains steadfast and unwilling to succumb to the influence of the “new cats” in the industry. As the New Year unfolds, 2Baba expressed his determination to share many more stories with Sound Sultan.

The ‘Amaka’ singer posted a video featuring himself and the late Sound Sultan, accompanied by a caption that reads, “YO Lanrelike play like play we don enter 2024. Plenty story for ground. This post serves as a heartfelt remembrance of Sound Sultan, who succumbed to ‘Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma,’ a form of throat cancer, on July 11, 2021.
