Marcus Rashford’s Brother Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges in Florida

Dane Rashford, the brother and registered FA intermediary of football star Marcus Rashford, has reportedly been apprehended in Miami Beach, Florida, on charges of domestic violence.

Telegraph Sport reports that the arrest occurred on October 20, with Dane Rashford subsequently appearing in court the following day. A bond of $1,500 was set for his release pending a pre-trial hearing, and he faces a charge of battery categorized as domestic violence, officially registered on October 24.

Dane Rashford, 31 years old and a director of DN May Sports Management, a company representing his brother Marcus among other clients, was photographed during the arrest. A court-issued pre-trial “stay away order” prohibits any contact, and court documents reveal that Chantelle Maynard, a relative of the Rashford brothers, posted the bond a week after Dane’s arrest, securing his release on bail. He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for a further hearing on November 27.

Daysi Vega-Mendez, assistant state prosecutor for Miami Dade County, confirmed the ongoing nature of the case to The Telegraph, expressing challenges in reaching the victim and indicating efforts to contact the UK Embassy for permission to communicate with them.

Rashford faced a challenging match as Manchester United lost 4-3 to Copenhagen in the Champions League, where he received a red card with the team leading 2-0, contributing to their eventual defeat. Despite this setback, he will be available for selection in the upcoming Premier League fixture against Luton Town on November 11 after missing the European game against Galatasaray later in November
