Victor Osimhen Included in CAF Awards 2023 Shortlist

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the list of nominees for its 2023 awards, showcasing a pool of outstanding football talent.

In an official statement released on Wednesday, CAF highlighted the criteria used in forming the preliminary list, which considered the performance of the nominees from November 2022 to September 2023. The awards encompass various categories, with 30 players contending for the prestigious title of CAF African Player of the Year, while 20 players have been nominated for the CAF Interclub Player of the Year.

In a noteworthy addition, CAF has introduced the CAF African Goalkeeper of the Year category for both Men and Women, enhancing the significance of this event that acknowledges exceptional Players, Officials, and Administrators during the specified period.
