The Nigerian actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu sought the help of Nigerians for funds amidst a health crisis.
He pleaded with Nigerian help to avoid leg amputation.
The movie star took to his Instagram account on Wednesday, 18th of October 2023 for financial assistance, as he explained that he had been ill for weeks and suffered severe pain.
His words;
“Hello my name is John Ikechukwu Okafor, Mr Ibu. I’ve been down for so many weeks, all I’m hoping for is your prayers and assistance. I’ve been in the hospital since as I speak to you I’m still lying down in the hospital.
The medical director of this hospital said that the best solution is in case this new idea doesn’t work, the best idea is to cut off my leg.
Just see me, if they cut off my leg where would I go? Where will I go from here? Please be in prayers for me, talk to God almighty, I don’t want my legs to be cut off please, thank you so much, God bless you. “he added.

Unfortunately, Mr. Ibu has before now experienced survival from many near-death encounters
Before now, the actor had suffered the amputation of one of his legs as he stands only on the other leg.
Amidst the pain, the actor celebrates his 62nd birthday.
Mr. Ibu was seen in a hospital during the birthday party, live on his official Instagram page.
Mr. Ibu’s adoptive daughter, Jasmine also commented about the actor’s health in the video. She claims that he needs substantial assistance in both a material and spiritual sense.
Furthermore, she explained how She has been responsible for the bill and they now realize that they need assistance.
