Baci embarked on her extraordinary culinary journey on Thursday at 4 pm, igniting her cooker to kickstart the marathon. After pushing through the grueling challenge, she surpassed the previous record holder in the early hours of Monday 15th May 2023, marking a significant milestone in her career.
The current record holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, achieved a non-stop cooking marathon of 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019. Once certified by the Guinness World Records, Baci’s remarkable feat will dethrone Tondon and establish her as the new record holder.
The intense cooking marathon is taking place at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos State, where Baci continues to push her limits and strive for culinary greatness. Despite the rain, numerous Nigerians, including celebrities, have braved the weather to support and encourage the visibly fatigued chef physically.
