Liverpool Football Club has recently revealed their new home kit for the 2023-24 season. The kit pays tribute to the legendary former manager, Bill Shankly, and is a modern take on the cup-winning design of the 1974 squad.

The kit features a bright Liverpool red color, a white contrast collar, and cuffs inspired by Shankly’s final season in charge of the Reds 50 years ago.

The jersey’s reverse side features the 97 emblem encased by the eternal flames, paying tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster who were unlawfully killed. The team will wear the new kit for the first time during their last home match of the season against Aston Villa on May 20th.

In their second-to-last home game of the Premier League season, Liverpool will face Brentford at Anfield. Seeking vengeance against Brentford, who made their start to the 2023 season miserable, Liverpool is set to face the visitors on Saturday evening. Klopp’s side narrowly won 1-0 against Fulham in their previous match, while the Bees also secured a tight 2-1 victory against Nottingham Forest. With Liverpool currently sitting at number 5 in the Premier League standings, having earned 59 points this season, they will be looking to add three more points to their tally against Brentford.

Brentford’s Current Form
Brentford drew 1-1 with Aston Villa, defeated Chelsea 0-2, and defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1 in their previous three games. Brentford, however, have won twice, drawn once, and lost three of their previous six Premier League away games.
