Selena Gomez has come out to plead with her fans to stop sending Hailey Bieber death threats after the model reached out to her complaining about the online hate.
The actor/singer made this known via her Instagram story, revealing that Hailey told her about the hate mail she has been getting.
She wrote, “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
Just so you know, social media users have long pitted Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber against one another. As you would recall, Selena Gomez previously dated singer Justin Bieber, and they were first romantically linked in 2011. During their off-and-on relationship, Justin was frequently spotted with Hailey.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez then ended their relationship in 2017, and, Justin went on to marry Hailey in 2018.
With the rumoured feud between Hailey and Selena which has been going on for a long time, Hailey was on the receiving end of the backlash when she posted a since-deleted TikTok appearing to shade Selena in February.
Later that month, Hailey Bieber and her friend Kylie Jenner were also accused of making fun of Selena Gomez’s eyebrows via Instagram.
