Navy launches Operation Tsara-teku

The Nigeria navy has attributed the upsurge in criminal activities off the country’s coast to the threat issued by a wanted militant leader, TomPolo, alias government Ekpemukpolo.

For this reason, the naval authorities launched an operation to stem the tide.

Operation Tsara-teku, which literally means Securing The Seas, will be marshaled by a Task Group led by an officer of the rank of Commodore.

A representative of the Naval Chief, Rear Admiral Henry Babalola says the perpetrators mostly gain entry off the coast of Bonny and Brass.
