Destiny, a young Nigerian woman who allegedly had cosmetic surgery in Lagos, has apparently passed away as a result of the procedure’s complications.
A friend of the deceased claimed that Destiny underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift operation at an aesthetic hospital in Lagos and that the hospital was running a discounted promo.
After the procedure, she was reportedly scheduled for discharge on the fourth day but ended up having breathing issues.
She was then taken in a medical emergency and later died there.
According to a purported eyewitness who posted the incident online,
“It was four days after the lady’s surgery, in fact, she was supposed to go home that day. But in the morning around like past 5, the lady started complaining of breathing issues.
“The nurses and the doctors immediately came around & started attending to her, giving her oxygen and plenty of things then it started looking like she was getting better but they didn’t want to risk it (I think bcos of past history).
They called one other place outside (I suspect an ICU) that was around them & those people came and carried her away.
“My ex-sis insists that the lady left the hospital alive & that even though, she was not breathing so well, she was alive & talking very well. Asking where her phone was & all.”
Following the news of her death, a lady, in an online video, alleged that the hospital was offering discounts for the liposuction procedure.
She criticized the hospital for undervaluing the surgical procedure despite being aware of the risks involved. According to her, she doesn’t understand why a surgical procedure will be discounted when it is not a commodity.
