Canadian filmmaker, James Cameron has made a historic record as he has become the only director to have three films that has raked in over two billion dollars at the worldwide box office following the success of his new work, Avatar: The Way Of Water.
The long-awaited movie which is a sequel to the 2009 Avatar, topped the massive money milestone, which comes just six weeks after its release, earning two point zero two four billion dollars at last check against a budget of between three hundred and fifty to four hundred and sixty million dollars.
James Cameron films on this list include the highest-grossing movie in the history of world cinema, the original Avatar with two point nine two three billion dollars on a two hundred and thirty-seven million dollars’ budget, and the 1997 classic, Titanic which raked in two point one nine five billion dollars against a budget of two hundred million dollars.
Along with the filmmaker’s three epic films, only three others have passed the two billion dollars’ benchmark, and all of them are from Disney.
