The ladies of #yourviewtvc shared their thoughts on this societal stigma that forces partners to get married because a baby is involved following the story of a Nigerian lady who took to TikTok to express regret after her marriage ended three months after it was contracted.
In the video shared online, Bola advised ladies against marrying a man because he impregnated them. Bola, who gave this advice from her personal experience, disclosed that her marriage crashed barely three months after it was contracted.
She accused her husband of physically assaulting her, and claimed he stabbed her while she was pregnant with their child.
According to Bola, she had to leave the marriage because she couldn’t continue anymore even though she’s heartbroken.
The lady who claimed that she was “stabbed”, further advised that one being pregnant does not mean they should marry whoever is responsible for the pregnancy.
Sharing a video montage consisting of her court and traditional wedding pictures, she wrote,
“It hurts my marriage doesn’t last three months. Pregnancy doesn’t mean you two should marry.”
Is pregnancy enough for partners to consider if they should officially spend their lives together?
