Amid the American Music Awards controversy, where Chris Brown had his tribute to Michael Jackson’s performance cancelled, the singer has shockingly become the centre of conversation recently.
Jordin Sparks Sides With Chris Brown
Despite many calling for Chris Brown to be cancelled for past wrongdoings, singer Kelly Rowland has thrown in her support for the singer saying, “humans are going to make mistakes, and they should be allowed to grow and better themselves. Kelly also outright said, “Everybody deserves grace, period.”
Jordin Sparks who collaborated with Chris Brown on the smash hit song, ‘No Air’ has also joined in to show her support for the singer.
TMZ recently caught up with her, and weighing in on the cancelled performance, she said, “We love Chris. He should’ve been there.”
When asked if Breezy’s critics should move on from what happened in his past, Jordin Sparks said, “Honestly, I think that shouldn’t even be a conversation anymore. It’s about his talent—they just shouldn’t have cancelled the performance. That’s how I feel about it.”
She added, “I just think people deserve to be able to grow and learn and be able to live their life without things hanging over that. Everyone deserves that. Him especially.”
Recall that while accepting the Best Male R&B Artist award on Chris’s behalf at the AMAs, Kelly Rowland gave Breezy his flowers. Notably, she shushed a rowdy audience by telling them to “chill out” with their reactions.
“I want to tell Chris, thank you so much for making great R&B music, and I want to tell him to thank you for being an incredible performer. I’ll take this award [and] bring it to you. I love you. Congratulations, and congratulations to all the nominees in this category.” she said.
