How do you intend to reduce the dead rate by 20 per cent?

I have started and I just want to break down the complex information that people know they need for their health and begin to practice.

I want to help people and ensure that everyone can relate to the simple tips and ensure that they cultivate a lifestyle that can help them to stay healthy so that we can actually limit the rate of preventable death.

According to Omawumi, the elderly need adequate amounts of protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre.

Elderly need more calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin A and antioxidants to prevent age-related degenerative diseases and for healthy ageing. Eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods. Match food intake with physical activity.

They need the change the kind of food they take in, reduce the salt they take in, and cut the excesses some older people still believed that when they are weak they need to take carbonated drinks instead of water and this is wrong.

Common foods elderly people can eat are.

  • Fruits and vegetables (choose different types with bright colours)
  • Whole grains, like oatmeal, whole-wheat bread, and brown rice.
  • Fat-free or low-fat milk and cheese, or soy or rice milk that has added vitamin D and calcium.
  • Seafood, lean meats, poultry, and eggs.
  • Beans, nuts, and seeds.
  • Eat foods that give you lots of nutrients without a lot of extra calories.

Avoid empty calories. These are foods with lots of calories but few nutrients, such as chips, candy, baked goods, soda, and alcohol.

Pick foods that are low in cholesterol and fat. You especially want to try to avoid saturated and trans fats. Saturated fats are usually fats that come from animals. Trans fats are processed fats in stick margarine and vegetable shortening. You may find them in some store-bought baked goods and fried foods at some fast-food restaurants.

Drink enough liquids, so you don’t get dehydrated. Some people lose their sense of thirst as they age. And certain medicines might make it even more important to have plenty of fluids.

Be physically active. If you have started losing your appetite, exercising may help you to feel hungrier.
