People magazine has crowned actor Chris Evans this year’s Sexiest Man Alive 2022.

The unveiling was made during the evening broadcast of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” with help from John Oliver and Dwayne Johnson.
The “Captain America” star, who couldn’t appear on the show, accepted the award remotely from the set of his upcoming film “Red One” after being introduced by former title holder Dwayne Johnson.
Speaking with People in the publication’s article revealing him as this year’s winner, Chris Evans stated, “My mom will be so happy… She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.”
In the cover story, Chris also shared that he’s trying to prioritize a healthy work-life balance and spending as much time as possible at home and with his family in Boston.
He also said, “The most enjoyable aspect of my career right now is feeling secure enough to take my foot off the gas. I feel like I have a bit more freedom to take time away from the industry and still find projects that will satisfy my creative appetite when I return.”
Just so you know, Chris Evans is taking the Sexiest Man Alive title that was last conferred in November 2021 to actor Paul Rudd.
Other title holders include, Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Ryan Reynolds, David Beckham, and others.
The sexiest man alive feature has been an annual event for the publication since the award’s inception in 1985 with the inaugural winner, Mel Gibson.
