A suspected rapist has reportedly escaped from police custody at the Sango-Ota police division, Ogun State.
The suspect identified simply as Tomiwa, aka Tommy, reportedly escaped the police station on March 12, 2016, with his whereabouts still unknown as of yesterday, April 7.
According to reports, Tomiwa, who had reportedly been on the run after himself and his gang members gang-raped a girl in the area, had been brought to the station by some youths on March 12.
Tomiwa had reportedly escaped from the station the same day, while he was being taken to his cell.
The victim, identified only as Joy reveals that she had been returning from a factory where she worked on the fateful day the gang had attacked her and raped her.
She added that they had collected her phone, as well as her salary which she had been with at the time, before the three of them had taken turns raping her.
