More drama for the Recording Academy, a.k.a. The Grammy, as reports states that Bruno Mars has withdrawn his collaborative album with Anderson .Paak titled ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’ from consideration for the 2023 Grammy Award.
Just so you know, Silk Sonic is an R&B duo made up of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak.
In a chat with Rolling Stone, Bruno Mars explained why they made that decision, saying, “We truly put our all on this record, but Silk Sonic would like to gracefully, humbly and most importantly, sexually, bow out of submitting our album this year.”
He continued, “We hope we can celebrate with everyone on a great year of music and partake in the party. Thank you for letting Silk Sonic thrive.”
If you would recall, earlier this week, we also reported that Drake and The Weeknd are also planning to boycott the Grammy Award, as they have chosen not to submit their respective new albums for consideration.
