Favour Maduka shares the story of how she became Miss Nigeria Intl 2022 and what it means to her and her career. #QueenOfNigeria
Nigeria International pageant is focused on empowering Nigerian women while also promoting the cultural heritage of the Nigerian people.
Miss Nigeria International 2022 was facilitated by the Ekiti state Ministry of Culture Art and Tourism.
Favour Maduka is the winner of the South-East Nigeria Pageant 2020, Miss Independent South East Nigeria 2021 and now, Miss Nigeria International 2022.
Talking about her experience Favour said, it was during my camp in Edo-Ekiti that I came across the opportunity and it was my fun.
We were 13 contestants from every part of Nigeria and thankfully, I emerged as the winner of the pageant. This has given me the opportunity to visit several beautiful places in Nigeria.
What are your plans as the New Miss Nigeria International?
I want to use my seat as the Miss Nigeria International to carry on my advocacy for Women/Children and people living with disabilities.
People with disabilities are humans just like us and they need our attention, love and support. It was recorded that over one billion people, or 15% of the world’s population, experience some form of disability.
Persons with disabilities, on average a group, are more likely to experience adverse socioeconomic outcomes than persons without disabilities.
It is unfair that in Africa, people with disabilities are seen as beggars and are not treated fairly, I want to change that narrative and help out in every possible way I can.
