The hosts of WUN had an interesting conversation about the shocking car crash of skit maker, Mr Sabinus.
Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu, a well-known Nigerian comedian also known as Mr Funny or Oga Sabinus, has survived an automobile accident that occurred in the early hours of this morning.
The comedian claimed that as he was driving his brand-new Mercedes Benz, a driver from the other lane struck his vehicle.
The footage showed the car suffered significant damage, with its bonnet visibly crumpled.
Some police officers were also seen surrounding the scene as pedestrians quickly gathered in shock.
“You know I don’t bring my things online. When I bought the car, I didn’t even post it. This is my first time having an accident. Another car suddenly entered my lane,” the comedian could be heard narrating in Pidgin English.
It wasn’t clear what actually transpired, it was said that another road user had rammed into the comedian’s vehicle while the latter was driving home from a personal function he had just attended.
The comedian however came out unhurt and in a good condition.
Confirming the incident, Sabinus stated that he is safe and sound.
He wrote on his Instagram page, “Safe and sound, thanks guys for the calls and care.”
Narrating what happened to his fans, Sabinus said the accident occurred as a result of a drunk driver who crashed into his newly-acquired Benz from the opposite lane.
“The only thing I keep saying is people should avoid drinking and driving, do you understand? This is the first time I’m seeing this type of thing, where a car would be driving in his own lane, and another car from another lane would drive and scatter the car.
“We thank God. But… just imagine you’re moving on your own way and another car from another place from nowhere hits you, next thing I saw was myself inside the airbags.
“Even the people that hit me, the boy, were confused. See them vomiting. Their car was filled with drinks and alcohol,” the comedian further explained.
He also promised to release a new skit by 2 pm today. “New skit by 2 pm” he posted on Insta Story.
“For the people calling, I am receiving messages, I am okay. Don’t be afraid.
“We thank God for life first. So Sabinus is safe, nothing happened to me. I am okay. Don’t be afraid.
“Those who die are those with bad hands, those whose hands are not clean. We thank God.” The comedian on his Instagram live appreciated fans and assured them of the need not to panic.
