American film production company, Warner Bros. Pictures are reportedly considering three possible scenarios regarding the big-budget ‘Flash’ movie starring Ezra Miller, whose actions have brought the company to disrepute.
Warner Bros. Mixed Up In The Ezra Miller Scandal
All of this is happening following news that surfaced that Ezra Miller who plays Flash in the yet-to-be-released ‘Flash’ movie has been charged with felony burglary in Vermont, following a complaint filed against them earlier this year.
Vermont State Police had issued them a citation to appear in court on September 26, where they will be arraigned over an incident that reportedly happened in May, where the actor was alleged to have stolen several bottles of alcohol from a home in Stamford when no one was inside.
This also comes amid multiple scandalous, and honestly, tiring events trailing Ezra Miller, some of which includes, disorderly conduct and harassment, second-degree assault, alleged kidnapping, and more.
Due to the fact that Warner has spent a lot of money making the ‘Flash’ movie starring the actor, they are now seeking the best way to solve the problem.
First, the production company has received indications that Ezra Miller will seek professional help after returning home to their farm in Vermont after being away.
If that happens, Miller, who goes by they/them pronouns, could give an interview at some point explaining their erratic behaviour over the past few years.
The actor could then do limited press for The Flash, and the movie would open in cinemas as planned.
In the second scenario, even if the actor doesn’t reach out for help, Warner Bros. could still release the film. But don’t expect Miller to play a prominent role in terms of marketing and publicity.
Nor would Miller be the Flash going forward, as the role would be recast in future projects.
Third, the situation with Miller deteriorates further. This would see Warner killing the movie outright, as it could not be reshot with a different actor, as Ezra Miller plays multiple characters and is in almost every scene, so scrapping a two hundred million dollars’ film would be an unprecedented move.
Following all of this, Ezra Miller has now issued a statement apologizing for their action.
They wrote, “Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment.
“I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
