During the weekend, Will Smith released a video Friday apologizing to Chris Rock after he slapped the comedian onstage at the Oscars earlier this year.
Smith said, “Chris, I apologize to you,” Mr. Smith said in a five-minute video he uploaded to his social media accounts.
“My behavior was unacceptable.” Mr. Smith had previously maintained a relatively low profile following the incident. “There is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave in that moment,” Mr. Smith said Friday. “I am deeply remorseful,” he added
Well, It seems Chris Rock is not ready to make peace with Will Smith, as he has opened up about getting slapped by the actor at this year’s Oscars ceremony.
Chris Rock made this known during an appearance at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Although he didn’t directly address the apology, he however compared Will Smith to the currently incarcerated music mogul Suge Knight.
Chris Rock said, “Everybody is trying to be a *BLEEPING* victim, if everybody claims to be a victim, then nobody will hear the real victims. Even me getting smacked by Suge Smith…I went to work the next day, I got kids. Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face.”
All of this is coming after Will Smith shared an apology video, where he apologized to Chris Rock, his mother, and even the comedian’s brother Tony Rock over the slapping incident.
