Why Bread Is Bad For Your Health | SEE VIDEO

Coach Amara was live on WUN to discuss health, nutrition, and dieting in general.

She spoke about how poor diet can affect the mental health of individuals and food to avoid. She shared that ‘Bread’ is not healthy for the body mostly white bread.

Bread is high in carbs, low in micronutrients, and its gluten and antinutrient contents may cause issues for some people.

Still, it’s often enriched with extra nutrients, and whole-grain or sprouted varieties may bestow several health benefits.

Because bread is highly processed especially the white, it is made up of refined flour without no nutrients.

However, in moderation, bread can be enjoyed as part of a healthy diet most especially wheat bread.
Talking about food that can affect one’s mood, Coach Amara said we need food that are high in serotonin.
Serotonin is a chemical that carries messages between nerve cells in the brain and throughout your body.
Serotonin plays a key role in such body functions as mood, sleep, digestion, nausea, wound healing, bone health, blood clotting and sexual desire.
It’s good to eat food that have high serotonin and such food includes,
  • Soy beans
  • Dark greens
  • Wallnut
  • Nuts and Seeds
  • Dark chocolate
  • Cocoa
  • Chicken thigh

Food to avoid are mostly processed food e.g,

  • Refine grains
  • Pastries
  • Bread

Basically anything that have a lot of sugar is not good for the health. For cooking it is advisable to use extra virgin oil (Cold press).
