Another Fela Anikulapo Kuti project is on the way and this is a limited edition.
Record Store Day is almost here and in commemoration, Knitting Factory Records is set to release two rare Fela Kuti and Africa ’70 cuts on vinyl.
“I Go Shout Plenty” and “Frustration,” are the songs that will be released and only 1,000 copies will be pressed. The initial release was delayed after the infamous army raid on Fela’s Kalakuta Republic in 1977.
Record Store Day is an annual event, founded in 2007 to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store.
