Empire actor Bryshere Gray has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife.
According to reports, Bryshere was arrested after a 911 call was made to the police stating that an adult female had allegedly been assaulted by her husband.
Speaking on the physical assault, Bryshere’s wife, who had noticeable injuries, stated that her husband had strangled her, causing her to pass out at some point.
She was however taken to the hospital by a good Samaritan whom she had flagged down, who drove her to Circle K and called 911.
Police reports however state that the actor initially refused to make himself available for questioning until SWAT and Crisis Negotiations were called to the scene for assistance, which led to him being taken into custody and booked on domestic violence charges.
Bryshere Gray, who is popularly for playing Hakeem Lyon in the American TV series Empire, was also arrested in 2019 for some driving-related offenses in Chicago.
