Nigerians To Contest For Political Office Without Joining Any Party



Ahead of the 2023 general election, the House of Representatives has cleared the way for independent candidates, not sponsored by any political party to contest for elective offices otherwise known as Independent candidacy.

According to report, one can only contest for elective office if he or she is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party.

Honourable Mohammed Monguno, lawyer and a former attorney general and commissioner for Justice in Borno Borno State.
