Nigerian artiste Runtown and Falz led a peaceful protest alongside other celebrities demanding the end of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad popularly known as SARS of the Nigerian Police Force.
The peaceful protest which had in attendance several celebrities such as Tiwa Savage, DJ Spinall, Rudeboy, Jaywon, and a host of others all carried different placards with different inscriptions which read ‘Enough is Enough’ and ‘We are all victims’ to campaign against the brutality and harassment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
The peaceful protest took off from the Lekki toll gate in Lagos, after which they all marched to Onikan and the Appeal Court through the Nigerian Law School.
Still on the protest, comedian, Mr. Macaroni and other #EndSARS activists passed the night at Lagos state government in spite of some challenges they faced during the protest.
Just so you know, the protest has prompted the government to take action as The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has banned SARS and other tactical squads of the Nigerian police from routine patrols.
