TVC E. Zuriel the child ambassador wins new African woman awards in London.
The highlight of the event would be the presentation of Awards recognizing the incredible contributions African women have made towards the development of the continent as a whole, in various fields – including Business, Media, Politics, Arts & Media, Sports and Civil Society.
Broken into 11 categories, and with more than 60 Women nominated from Zambia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, South Africa, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Morocco, Cote D’Ivoire, Congo, Chad, Zimbabwe, and a strong contingent from Nigeria including Arunma Oteh, Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode, Minister Amina J. Muhammed, Blessing Okagbare, Chimamanda Adichie, Obiageli Ezekwesili, Toyin Saraki, Mo Abudo, Olajumoke Adenowo – and the youngest person on the list – 13 year Old Zuriel Oduwole.
Other notable Africans on the list include Madam Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the Chairperson of the AU.
Win or not, her inclusion on such a distinguished list shows the power of focus, perseverance and recognizing ones gift and calling early, to make not just a regional, but a global impact, as Zuriel seems to do successfully. An inspiration to many, she has spoken to more than 24,350 children across 11 countries about the importance of Education, and she continuously tells Africa’s story via compelling documentary films, as a very proud African. Her last film showed in a movie theater chain in Nigeria, and went on to show in South Africa, Ghana, the UK, and Tokyo – Japan
