Nollywood actor and former co-host of lunch hour show -ESplash, Akah Nnani, speaks on how he proposed to his wife with just N60,000 in his bank account.
The actor who amassed fame for his role in ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ and ‘Omo Ghetto’, talked about his decision to tie the knot with his wife despite being broke.
“I found out she was planning to go to Canada, that was when I knew I had to put a ring on it. When I proposed I had only 60 thousand naira”, he said.
Akah also explained his role in the movie ‘Omo Ghetto’ and how instrumental Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, has been in his career.
“Big shoutout to Funke Akindele, she is always giving me roles. I have featured in two of her projects so far and I have gotten great remarks from other actors, it has been God all the way.”

While speaking on parenting, he urged fathers to play important roles in their children’s life; he goes further to share his thoughts on modern day parenting, stating that fathers are not meant to provide for their children only.
“Fathers believe that their only job is to provide, same as my father, he was always out hustling. I believe fathers should be more available to their children emotionally.”

Akah reminisced his time as co-host on Esplash, he said,
“It feels good to be back, I was always look at Esplash as my alma mater, I saw it as a training ground for me.
The truth is wherever I go people still remember me as that guy from the show and I will always be grateful.”
