NNPC to be unbundled into 30 companies

TVC E, BUSINESS – The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation is set to announce a major overhaul in the industry.

The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu says NNPC would be unbundled to four or five main operational zones comprising 30 companies to be headed by a director each.

The minister added that the unbundling of the NNPC will make the sector more competitive.

He said that focusing on gas policies is a key element and he has set a target of 12-month type agenda to try and arrive at some conclusions.
