TVE E, SOCCER – Super Eagles head Coach, Sunday Oliseh has resigned his appointment.
Oliseh in a tweet from his handle @Sundayooliseh early today announced that he’s quitting, citing unpaid wages and lack of support for his team.
He tweeted his resignation after a long stand-off with the Nigeria Football Federation, he said “I feel fortunate, blessed and eternally grateful for having had the honour to play, captain and coach this great nation of ours, Nigeria.
Confirming the resignation, Oliseh’s media officer, Toye Ibitoye, said his boss has resigned as head coach of the national team.
As at the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Football Federation is yet to make any official statement.
