TVC E, NEWS – Four people were confirmed dead following an explosion near a police station in Adamawa state in northeast Nigeria.
The blast occurred at Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters, which doubles as a base of the anti-bomb squad division of Nigerian police in that state.
Spokesman for the Adamawa state emergency agency confirmed the incident.
Eye witnesses claim the blast happened about 11 a.m. local time. It destroyed glass windows and doors of houses around the police headquarters.
There was also panic around the area especially at the Central Primary School, directly opposite the police station, where pupils attending classes at the time of the blast were injured.
