TVC E, POLITICS – The Nigerian Senate has commenced the huge task of rectifying the errors, paddings and illegal additions in the 2016 budget
The concluded preliminary works on the budget is now being submitted to the Committee on Appropriation by heads of various Senate sub-committees that conducted the budget defence of Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
After hearing from ministries, departments and agencies on the need for
approval of their appropriation, the Senate says it is now set to commence
the final compilation of the finished reports from its sub-committees.
And after the plenary decision, the appropriation committee sat and commenced the huge task of filtering errors, paddings and removal of illegal additions by receiving presentations from various sub-committees.
The appropriation committee says it has one week to deliver the compiled budget to the Senate at plenary for final debate and passage.
