NFF slams $30,000 fine on Super Eagles’ Coach

Sunday Oliseh, Super Eagles' Coach

TVC E, SOCCER – Despite his apology for his Youtube outburst, Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has been fined 30,000 dollars by the Nigerian Football Federation .

Sources said it could have been worse, as the NFF had considered sacking Oliseh but for the intervention of sports minister, Solomon Dalong.

The minister reportedly pleaded with the NFF’s technical committee to give the Eagles coach a second chance, but gave his nod to the fine.

Oliseh has since apologised to the federation and pleaded with Nigerians on twitter that his comments were not directed at them.

But for Segun Odegbami, Nigerian fans will need to be more patient with the Super Eagles Coach.

Despite the criticisms for that Youtube outburst and Eagles’ early exit in Rwanda, Odegbami says Oliseh has the potential to be a great manager.

On the chances of the Super Eagles going to the world cup, Odegbami argues that Nigeria does not have the quality of players to deliver the 2018 World Cup ticket.
