Popular Nigerian comic actor Afeez Oyetoro, better known as Saka, has offered rare insights into his personal life during a candid interview with Chude Jideonwo. The beloved veteran reflected on his signature bald look, his late entry into marriage, and how public perception often clashes with his true personality.
Speaking on how he lost his hair, Saka revealed:
“When I got to the university, we had a play and the director said the character must have a bald head. So they scraped my head. After the production, the hair refused to grow again.”
The actor also disclosed that he got married at 40 after a failed relationship where financial expectations—like owning two cars—created a wedge.
He quipped, “The only difference now is that I am still paying school fees with grey hair.”
Addressing misconceptions about his quietness, Saka said people often think he is arrogant or snubbing them in public, not knowing he’s just naturally reserved.
He concluded with words of inspiration: “While you are alive, anything you are doing, make sure that you do it to the best of your ability. I have a little reserve.”
Afeez Oyetoro continues to inspire fans with his humility, humor, and long-standing contribution to the Nigerian entertainment industry.
